web development
I specialize in ColdFusion web development. ColdFusion is a rapid development environment that allows for the development of websites and applications quickly and efficiently. ColdFusion utilizes a ColdFusion server that interprets the information within a ColdFusion page and displays it to the users. It is a robust development environment that allows for the implementation of many features necessary to create websites with added functionality. Listed below are just some of the applications and features I have developed.
AVAD/Ingram Micro
The AVAD website consisted of the front end, dealer section and administration section. The admin section was used to enter news, promotions, training, product listing, email blasts, contacts and new product announcements. The training section allowed each partner to enter their training session and once posted that information was also posted on the main AVAD website as well. The training section allowed the dealers to sign up for training.
A email blast application was developed to give the partners a method of notifying dealers of specials and news. The application was a simple form that the sales team could use to quickly notify dealers but also present the data in a clean formatted layout. The email could be sent to all or a few dealers within the database. The email blast consisted of images of products or just text.
A dealer administration feature was developed to allow the partners to assign only certain manufactures to a dealer based on their credit approval status. The application allowed partners to quickly add, remove or deactivate dealers from the database. The partners could add all or a partial list of manufactures to dealers through the administration section.
A sales section was developed to allow access to sales managers where they could upload and exchange product information and sales tools that could be used to enhance sales for all partners.
A shopping cart feature was developed to allow dealers the ability to purchase products and track the orders progress. This was administered through the website admin section to add, update and delete products.
A price book application was developed to allow the dealers to select products and created a price book to be used when estimating a job. This feature gave the dealers the ability to select the price, cost, dealer cost or retail cost when creating a price book.
A forum application was developed for AVAD partners to use to communicate critical business information related to new products and manufacturer additions. This application allowed the partners to post a question or comment and the application would email some or all partners and give them the opportunity login and to send a reply to the posting.
Bell Helicopter Textron
I developed an application for Bell Helicopter called ABDR, Aircraft Battle Damage Report. The application would allow the users at the battle front to enter a report about damage to the V-22 helicopter. Once the information was entered it would be sent to specialist at Bell Helicopter. When the report was received the specialist could consult the database for specifications about how to best repair the damage. This was intended to keep the aircraft in working condition faster and repaired correctly.

While at bell helicopter I was also instrumental in assisting various departments to develop and update existing departmental websites that contained information that would be shared throughout the company.
